PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable intelligent control of a peripheral device even when an information processing device providing an USB Over IP technology goes down due to network disconnection and such under a network environment utilizing the USB Over IP technology.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a local interface; a network interface; and relay means that extracts control data for a peripheral device connected to the local interface, from a packet received from the network interface, and inputs it to local interface control means. The device receives, from the information processing device, abnormal-time control command data for control of the peripheral device connected to the local interface, which has to be performed when connection is disconnected, and holds it in a memory; and when detecting an abnormal event such as network disconnection from the information processing device, the device inputs the held abnormal-time control command data to the local interface control means so as to make the peripheral device controlled accordingly. |
