PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a residual image of low contrast video in a noise removal device which limits a band in a direction of a time base.SOLUTION: A first subtractor 101 generates a difference N1 between a delay video signal Ypre from a frame memory 104, which is obtained by delaying an output video signal Yout by one screen, and an input video signal Ynow. An amplitude adjusting section 102 adjusts amplitude of an output signal of the first subtractor 101 with a movement signal MV. A second subtractor 103 subtracts an output N2 of the amplitude adjusting section 102 from the input video signal Ynow. A movement detection section 2 calculates a change amount of the input video signal Ynow to the delay video signal Ypre on respective pixels constituting one screen, and generates a signal with which a prescribed rate of pixels move among the total number of pixels whose change rate is below a prescribed threshold as the movement signal MV on the respective pixels whose change rate is below the prescribed threshold. |
