PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost risk in forming means for preventing the occurrence of unevenness in luminance in the central and the peripheral portions of a screen especially when developing a large-screen organic EL display device.SOLUTION: A color filter substrate comprises a transparent substrate, a pixel portion formed on the transparent substrate, and a non-pixel area formed around a coloring layer. In the color filter substrate, the non-pixel area includes a metal support electrode layer and has a nonconductive convex column formed in at least one or more places of the non-pixel area, the convex column having a transparent electrode layer provided at least at the top of it, and electrical continuity is established between the metal support electrode layer of the non-pixel area and the transparent electrode layer at the top of the convex column.
