PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which allows an operation of switching between manual zooming and electric zooming with the same operation member as that for manual zooming operation.SOLUTION: A zoom operation ring 23b which is freely rotatable in a circumferential direction and is freely slidable in an axial direction is provided on the outside of a lens barrel, and the zoom operation ring 23b is provided with: an operation position determination unit 24 which determines an operation position of switching due to slide operation, between an electric zoom (EZ) mode and a manual zoom (MZ) mode; and a plurality of gears 45b and 45a which move a lens group G3 constituting a zoom lens group in an optical axis direction when the zoom operation ring 23b moved to the position of the MZ mode is manually rotated. |
