A method for determining a primary station or a primary cell for a user equipment, a measurement method, an information sending method and an apparatus thereof. The method for determining a primary station or a primary cell for a user equipment comprises: receiving at least one channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration information configured for a user equipment sent by a network side; and determining a transmission point corresponding to one CSI-RS configuration information in the at least one CSI-RS configuration information as a primary station, or determining a cell corresponding to the transmission point as a primary cell. The present invention solves the problem in the prior art that in the case of CoMP, the user equipment cannot determine which transmission point sending CSI-RS configuration information is a primary station that sends control signaling, or cannot determine which cell corresponding to the transmission point is a primary cell.
