The present invention relates to an optical system for a camera. The optical system of a camera according to the present invention includes a first lens of a meniscus shape which is recessed upward and which has positive refractive power; a second lens which is recessed upwardly and which has negative refractive power; a third lens which is recessed toward an object and which has positive refractive power; a fourth lens which is recessed upwardly and which has positive refractive power; and a fifth lens of which an object side is convex and which is recessed upward and which has negative refractive power and includes at least one infection point.
