The present invention relates to control steam supply in a washing machine. The method of the present invention comprises the following steps of: heating a given space in a duct which is connected to a tub in a washing machine until the given space is warmer than other spaces in the duct; directly supplying water to the heated given space in order to produce steam; supplying airflow toward the heated given space in order to transfer the produced steam to the tub, wherein the water supplying step starts when the heating step has proceeded for a given time, and the air flow supplying step starts when the heating step and the water supplying step have proceeded for a given time.
