PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel disulfonic acid ester compound; an additive, which is composed of the compound, for nonaqueous electrolytes capable of forming a stable SEI on an electrode surface when used in a power storage device such as a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell and an electric double layer capacitor for improving cell properties such as cycle characteristics, charge/discharge capacity, and internal resistance; a nonaqueous electrolyte including the additive; and a power storage device.SOLUTION: A halogen atom-containing disulfonic acid ester compound is represented by formula (1). In the formula: R, R, and Rare each H, a 1-5C alkyl group, halogen, or a phenyl group; Ris H, a 1-10C alkyl group, a 2-10C alkenyl group, or a phenyl group; Xand Xare each halogen; and n is an integer of 0-5. The alkyl, alkenyl, or phenyl group may be substituted. |
