PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time for installing an OS.SOLUTION: A computer is provided with an optical drive virtualization mechanism. The optical drive virtualization mechanism embedded in the computer develops an image of an optical medium on a physical memory in advance, and the optical drive virtualization mechanism converts access to the optical medium of an installation program of an OS to access to the optical medium image on the physical memory, thereby eliminating input/output processing for an optical drive, so that an installation time can be shortened. |
