[Class 26] In a pedestal spittoon, the hollow arm 2 carrying the bowls is adapted to be swung around the head of the pedestal 4 and houses the water-supply-pipe 1 which receives its supply from a main supply pipe 3 carried into the top of the pedestal through a bearing sleeve 14 projecting into the pedestal from the arm and forming the pivotal support of the latter. The upper end of the pipe 3 passes through a spring-pressed gland 5 in a box 6 having apertures at 7 for communication with the pipe 1, the spring being tensioned by a screw cap.
