[Class 44] A sock &c. suspender of button-and-loop type has a rubber button 4 integral with a base 3 provided with holes 1 to receive a wire frame 5 through which the tab 6 may be threaded as in Figs. 3, 4. The button may be formed by cutting a suitable length from a strip of railway-rail section as in Fig. 1, formed with the frame-receiving holes through the base-portion of the strip. Alternatively, the base may be provided with a slot 10 through which the tab 6 may be directly threaded as in Figs. 6, 7. This form may have grooves in the slot to enhance the grip, and may be cut from a strip having the section shown in Fig. 6, the slot being formed by providing a series of holes with thin separating walls which break on compressing the base 3 transversely. |
