PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism to apply page numbers to a page intended by a user and pages after the page, among plural pages of images.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus for processing plural pages of images comprises: designation means which designates a start page to start applying of the page numbers from among plural pages, in accordance with an instruction given by the user; and control means which performs control to apply the page numbers to the start page designated by the designation means and the pages after the start page.
