PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing support structure for a rotary electric machine, the structure improving the replacement workability of rolling bearings that are press supported to a rotor shaft, as well as improving the reliability of bearing holding capacity.SOLUTION: A stator 6 and a rotor 7 are disposed in a casing 1 of a rotary electric machine, in which the rotor 7 is pivotally supported by a bracket 4 of the casing 1 via a pair of rolling bearings 11 that are press fitted into the operation side and anti-operation side of a rotor shaft 10 and via a bearing holder 14. The bearing holder 14 is inserted from outside into a through hole at the shaft section of the bracket 4 to be engaged and held, then the bearing holder 14, together with a covers 16 that is overlapped on the external end surface of the bearing holder 14, is coupled to the bracket 4 via coupling bolt 15. Bayonet engaging claws and step parts for engagement with the bearing are formed on the cylindrical body of the bearing holder 14, and the bearing holder 14 is inserted from outside into the through hole at the shaft section of the bracket 4, and held in a bayonet style so as not to come off. |
