PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking exercise apparatus that takes no handling time for using it and that can be safely used by a person who is disabled to use hands and feet like a senior person or person with disability.SOLUTION: There is provided a walking exercise apparatus in which a running belt B is wound around rotary rollers 20, 30, the running belt B is made to run nearly horizontally, and a user gets walking exercise in the moving direction of the running belt B. In the apparatus, a human body motion sensor 70 is installed in the rear part of a frame 10 and, during the running of the running belt B, if the sensor 70 detects a user being on the running belt B, the sensor stops the running of the belt B. During the downtime of the running belt B, if the sensor 70 detects no user on the belt B, the running of the belt B is resumed. |
