PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pencil sharpener capable of removing a stuck pencil lead safely and easily.SOLUTION: A pencil sharpener 1 includes: a cutter holder 4 which rotatably holds a cutter 3 for sharpening a pencil P; a motor 5 rotatably driving the cutter holder 4 and revolving the cutter 3 around the pencil; a rotation transmitting mechanism 6 having a plurality of gears 60, which transmits the rotation of the motor 5 to the cutter holder 4; a container 7 which is arranged below the cutter holder 4 and accommodates shavings of the pencil P; a first lower cover 21 for covering the part below the motor 5; and a second lower cover 22 for covering the container 7 and a part below the rotation transmitting mechanism 6. |
