PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of effectively integrating the functions of wireless telephone and wired telephone with the provision of both merits at the same time, and enabling another operation on a radio communication device during communication through a handset.SOLUTION: A communication system includes: a radio communication device for speech communication and data communication through radio communication and operated using a touch screen; and a radio communication device docking station, which is a docking station for use for the radio communication device, including a cradle having a radio communication device connector for connecting to the radio communication device, a handset connected the cradle, a transmission device installed on the cradle, and a wired network interface installed on the cradle. When the radio communication device is connected to the cradle, speech communication and data communication are performed through wireless communication or a wired network interface after a fixed network or a mobile network is selected. To perform speech communication, the transmission device operates the handset to enable communication using the handset. |
