According to the present invention, streptochlorin inhibits in vitro degraulation and production of TNF and IL-4 in mast cells, and also in vivo mouse allergic dermatitis induced by DNFB. Thus, a composition containing streptochlorin as an active component according to the present invention has an excellent effect on treatment for allergic diseases and no side effect since the strpetochlorin which is originated from marine microorganism is contained as an active ingredient.
