PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and safely detect a foreign object, which is implemented with a simple circuit configuration while reducing manufacturing costs.SOLUTION: A contactless power supply method comprises: a step of performing power transmission from a power transmission coil 11 of a power supply stand 10 to a power reception coil 51 of a mobile apparatus 50 by using electromagnetic induction action; a step of transmitting an increase/decrease request signal for adjusting output of the power supply stand 10 from the mobile apparatus 50 to the power supply stand 10; and step of supplying power to the mobile apparatus 50 by adjusting the output of the power supply stand 10 according to the increase/decrease request signal. The power supply stand 10 limits a maximum value of the output to an output power threshold. The mobile apparatus 50 compares a received power from the power supply stand 10 with a required power, when the received power is lower than the required power, an increase request signal is transmitted to the power supply stand 10 as the increase/decrease request signal, and when the received power is higher than the required power, a decrease request signal is transmitted to the power supply stand 10 and the output of the power supply stand 10 is adjusted by limiting to the output power threshold. A continuance of the increase request signal from the mobile apparatus 50 for a set time previously set, is detected thereby a foreign object on the power supply stand 10 is detected. |
