PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of returning developer in a developing device into a developer storage part.SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a developing part 110; a toner storage part 120 provided below the developing part 110; a partition wall 103 constituting at least a bottom of the developing part 110 and partitioning the developing part 110 and the toner storage part 120; a supply port 104 communicating the developing part 110 with the toner storage part 120; a toner conveyance member 45 supplying developer in the toner storage part 120 to the developing part 110 through the supply port 104; a return port 105 formed in a part corresponding to the bottom of the developing part 110, of the partition wall 103 and allowing developer in the developing part 110 to drop into the toner storage part 120; an opening and closing member 200 provided in the developing part 110 and constituted to be movable between an opening position where the opening and closing member 200 opens the return port 105 and a closing position where the opening and closing member 200 closes the return port 105; and a drive mechanism moving the opening and closing member 200 to the closing position and the opening position. |
