PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition which is excellent in resistance to hot water whitening, resistance to freeze and thawing and blocking resistance in a comprehensive manner.SOLUTION: An aqueous resin composition contains an emulsion particle having an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer is formed from a polymer (I) obtained by emulsion-polymerizing a monomer component containing 5-50 wt.% of a polyfunctional monomer and 50-95 wt.% of a monomer copolymerizable with the polyfunctional monomer, and the outer layer is formed from a polymer (II) having a glass transition temperature of 40°C or lower. The weight ratio [polymer (I)/polymer (II)] of the polymer (I) to the polymer (II) is 25/75 to 75/25, and the total content of the polymer (I) and polymer (II) in the emulsion particle is 50-100 wt.%. |
