PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an accurate control of a lens unit even when changing over a communication method between an imaging device and the lens unit.SOLUTION: The imaging device capable of detachably attaching the lens unit is configured to comprise: communication means that can change over between a first communication method of transmitting first control information to an attached lens unit and a second communication method of transmitting second control information different from the first control information to the attached lens unit as a communication method used for communication with the attached lens unit; and control means that performs a communication control with the attached lens unit. The control means controls the communication control so as not to transmit the other of the first control information and the second control information until a control started on the basis of any one of the first control information and the second control information is ended.
