PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene terephthalate composition good in polymerization reactivity and hydrolysis resistance.SOLUTION: A polyethylene terephthalate composition comprises a polyethylene terephthalate containing 0.1-5.0 mol/t of a buffering agent derived from a compound represented by the following formula (I), wherein the polyethylene terephthalate is to be ≤20 eq/t in the number of terminal carboxylic acid groups, 0.6-1.0 in intrinsic viscosity, 0.1-10 mol/t in potassium and/or sodium content, 50-300 ppm in antimony compound, in terms of antimony element, originating in polycondensation catalyst, and ≤0.001 wt.% in deposits attributable to catalyst residues: POxHyMz (I) (wherein x is an integer of 2-4; y is 1 or 2; z is 1 or 2; and M is potassium and/or sodium). |
