PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic linear motor that has high energy conversion efficiency and the displacement of a mover to be driven is large.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic motor comprises: a vibrator 50; and application means (an oscillation circuit). A first vibrator region 51 and a second vibrator region 52 forming the vibrator 50 comprise: piezoelectric elements 20a, 20b polarized in a thickness direction; and stationary parts 30a, 30b respectively. The oscillation circuit applies alternating voltage to each of the piezoelectric elements, and makes the first vibrator region 51 and the second vibrator region 52 resonate in the face flare directions individually. A contactor 60 is provided on a coupling part 55 coupling vibration ends 23a, 23b together. The vibration ends 23a, 23b are parts that respectively vibrate in a contact or separate direction relative to the stationary parts 30a, 30b by resonance in the face flare directions of the first vibrator region 51 and the second vibrator region 52. |
