PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type projector which reduces the possibility of an influence on user's retinas without causing deterioration of image quality such as narrowing of the color reproduction range of a projected image.SOLUTION: The projection type projector comprises: an optical modulation part 30 which modulates light generated by a light source part 20; an image signal processing part 50 which processes an inputted image signal; and a projection optical system 40 which projects the light modulated by the optical modulation part 30 to an external projection target to obtain a projected image. The image signal processing part 50 comprises a blue light influence reduction part which reduces an influence of blue light on the retinas. If only the ratio of blue signals among red signals, green signals, and the blue signals contained in image signals is large, the blue light influence reduction part generates a blue light influence reduction signal to control the light source part to reduce the brightness of the entire projected image. |
