PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolation method which is a relatively simple method to allow low cost construction, and suitably performed in a common detached house.SOLUTION: In a vibration isolation method, a box-shaped structure 1 comprising a bottom board and a surrounding wall is constructed in a recessed part formed by digging the ground, a building 11 constructed on a mat foundation 12 is arranged in the box-shaped structure 1 so as to hold a space 5 between the inner peripheral surface of the box-shaped structure 1 and the mat foundation 12, and water is automatically supplied into the space 5 at the occurrence of vibration equal to or larger than a predetermined level to raise the building 11 together with the mat foundation 12. A metal cover 14 surrounds between footing beams 13 of the mat foundation 12 to secure an air layer inside thereof. The automatic supply of water into the space 5 is performed from a water storage tank 6 arranged inside of the box-shaped structure 1 or at the nearest position to the outside thereof, and the water storage tank 6 is provided with a water discharging door 7 which automatically opens at the occurrence of vibration equal to or larger than the predetermined level to discharge inner stored water. |
