PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging notification system capable of notifying a user of the necessity of charging a portable information terminal even when the main power of the portable information terminal is in an off-state.SOLUTION: A charging notification system includes: a portable information terminal 10 incorporating a secondary battery; and an in-house notification device arranged in an in-house area 2 and capable of performing radio communication with the portable information terminal 10. The portable information terminal 10 includes: an in-area approach discrimination unit 112 for discriminating whether a user possessing the portable information terminal 10 has approached the in-house area 2 or not; a notification request generation unit 114 for generating a charging notification request on the basis of a discrimination result of the in-area approach discrimination unit 112; a charging start detection unit 115 for detecting the charging start of the secondary battery; and a termination request generation unit 116 for generating a notification termination request on the basis of a detection result of a charging start after the transmission of a charging notification request. The in-house notification device performs charging notification for urging the charging of the portable information terminal 10 on the basis of the charging notification request and the notification termination request. |
