PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene having its expression level useful for predicting colorectal cancer outcome and a gene set.SOLUTION: Measurement of an expression level of one or more predictive RNA transcripts, especially an RNA transcript of INHBA or an expression product thereof shows the relation between clinical outcome and gene expression. In a gene showing a risk rate >1.0 and p<0.1, RFI is used as a measurement standard for clinical outcome and a univariate Cox proportional hazard regression analysis is applied to a mixed group of patients of second disease stage (Dukes B) and third disease stage (Dukes C).
