PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash frame replacement method which achieves shortening of a construction period and cost reduction by reducing labor while eliminating dismantlement of an exterior material, furring strips, a waterproof sheet, a casing and the like to the utmost and which does not decrease an opening area of a window, and a structure of a sash frame.SOLUTION: A sash frame replacement method includes the steps of: cutting off an outer flange 3 with a cutting tool from an outdoor side; detaching an existing sash frame 1 from which the outer flange 3 is cut off; and attaching a new sash frame 14. An inner flange 4 is also cut off from the inside of an opening. After the detachment of the existing sash frame 1 from which the outer and inner flanges 3 and 4 are cut off, a screw 15b fixing the inner flange 4 is cut off. After the detachment of the inner flange 4, the new sash frame 14 is attached to the inside of the opening from the outdoor side. |
