<p>Device for reducing the thickness of a metallic coating on a metallic sheet, designed for use in a continuous metal-coating line, at the exit from a bath (10) containing a molten metal (11) for coating the sheet (2), in order to reduce the amount of coating metal applied to said metal sheet (2), which comprises at least one cutting wire (6), located on a rigid supporting member (13) and to one side of the metal sheet (2), said supporting member (13) keeping the cutting wire (6) under tension and parallel to the metal sheet (2) in such a manner that said cutting wire (6), when it enters into contact with the sheet coating, removes the excess coating molten metal (7), which is returned to the bath (10). The rigid supporting member (13) is located on a rotary structure (14) arranged on heads (9) located at both ends of said structure (14) and resting on a bench.</p> |
