PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing device and method that suppress a support device and manufacturing cost from being increased so as to make the support device of an outer diameter measurement means of a conveyance drum very accurate and very rigid.SOLUTION: A drawing device includes: a conveyance drum that sends a medium to be drawn by making the medium closely adhere onto an outer circumferential surface; an ejection head that includes a nozzle surface where an ejection nozzle for ejecting liquid is opened and the nozzle surface is arranged in a position reaching the outer circumferential surface; a head displacement device that reciprocates the ejection head in a normal line direction on the outer circumferential surface; a temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the conveyance drum; and a head distance adjusting part that adjusts a distance between the nozzle surface and the outer circumferential surface by controlling the head displacement device based on a temperature of the conveyance drum detected by the temperature sensor. |
