PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of a scale.SOLUTION: A display device 1 according to the invention comprises: a first optical transparent substrate 12 including a display region 14 and a peripheral region 16; a second optical transparent substrate 32; a light-shielding portion 18 formed in the peripheral region; a first scale portion 24 formed in an opening 22; a thin film transistor 50 formed on the second optical transparent substrate; and a second scale portion 44 forming a pair with the first scale portion. The second optical transparent substrate has a first metal layer 34 and a second metal layer 38. The thin film transistor has a gate electrode 52 composed of a part of the first metal layer, a semiconductor layer 36, and a drain electrode 56 composed of a part of the second metal layer. The second scale portion is composed of other part of the second metal layer. The other part of the first metal layer is formed in a region corresponding to the second scale portion so as to block the opening. |
