PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric exciter including a cantilever beam, capable of assuring desired vibration characteristics while having a compact configuration.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric exciter comprises: a beam 20; a beam support 30 for supporting the beam 20 in a cantilever state; and a base plate 40 fixed at the bottom surface of the beam support 30. A pair of guides 30b are formed at right and left sides of a first end face 30a of a free end side of the beam 20 in the beam support 30 so as to project toward the free end side of the beam 20. The pair of guides 30b engage with right and left end portions of a base end 22b of a shim 22 which configures the beam 20 so as to prevent the base end 22b from being bent vertically. Ribs 30d which extend in a longitudinal direction of the beam 20 are formed on the right and left surfaces of the beam support 30 so as to run over the first end face 30a in the longitudinal direction. Thus, a side projection amount of each rib 30d is suppressed within a range of plate thickness of each side wall 44 of the base plate 40, and rigidity of each guide 30b is increased. |
