A method for quality of experience recovery for a plurality of video streams associated with a plurality of user terminals in a communication network, the method comprising determining that an overall video quality metric associated with the plurality of video streams is below a first threshold value, selecting at least one of the plurality of video streams based on at least one video stream metric corresponding to each video stream, and applying at least one load reduction action to each selected video stream whereby the at least one load reduction action reduces a required network resource load associated with the selected video stream.
