PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel, which suppresses a rapid slip that occurs between an inside member and the shoulder part of an outer joint member and prevents occurrence of stick slip noise.SOLUTION: In a bearing device for a wheel, in which an inner ring 3 is fixed in the axial direction by a caulking part 6, and an outer joint member 14 is connected to a hub wheel 2 via a serration in a torque transmittable manner and in a freely detachable manner in the axial direction, the shoulder part 15 of the outer joint member 14 is left in an unquenched state, and the end face of the shoulder part 15 and the side face 6a of the caulking part 6 are formed to be flat. Recessed parts 17a are formed together with the caulking part 6 simultaneously by plastic working at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of side faces 6a of the caulking part 6, and the depth of each of the recessed parts 17a is set to 1 mm or less, and its corner part is formed in an edge. |
