PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unwanted incidence of light into an image sensor.SOLUTION: An image pickup unit comprises: a light permeable member which transmits imaging light taken in via an optical system; an image sensor, disposed facing the light permeable member, which converts imaging light having passed through the light permeable member and incident thereupon into an electrical signal; and a holding member having a disposition hole, which holds the light permeable member in place. The light permeable member has adhesive agent applied to the outer peripheral face thereof and is disposed in the disposition hole as it is bonded to the holding member and held in place thereby. The adhesive agent has light absorbency, and its refractive index is made to be approximately equal to that of the light permeable member. Consequently, stray light heading toward the outer periphery of the light permeable member is transmitted through the outer peripheral face to enter the adhesive agent in which it is absorbed. In this way, the incidence of unwanted light into the image sensor can be prevented. |
