PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device of an iron core which holds and transports an iron core forming a stator or a rotor, and to provide a holding method of the iron core.SOLUTION: A transport device 500 holds and transports an iron core 100 where iron core holes 30 are formed in an axial direction. The transport device 500 includes: first insertion pins 50 inserted from the axial lower end surface side of the iron core 100 into the iron core holes 30; an iron core support plate 52 where the first insertion pins 50 are installed, the iron core support plate 52 supporting a lower end surface of the iron core 100; a slide plate 53 connected with the iron core support plate 52 and extending on the iron core support plate 52; and a drive mechanism part 60 connected with the upper end side of the slide plate 53 and moving the slide plate 53 in horizontal and vertical directions. |
