The lock cylinder has radially movable tumblers (4) and axially displaceable supplementary tumbler (5) that are rotationally locked based on plug-in direction of key (3). The supplementary tumbler is provided with locking projections (6,6') protruded over peripheral contour of cylinder core. The locking projection is held before the locking unit (10), if key is not inserted into key channel so that cylinder core (2) is not rotated. The supplementary tumbler is displaced against the rotation avoidance space (11) by spring element, when key is pushed onto stop portion (8).
