PURPOSE: A Viscum album extract with anti-obesity is provided to prevent fatty liver and to be used in functional foods or medicines. CONSTITUTION: A Viscum album extract has antiobesity efficiency and fatty liver prevention. The Viscum album extract is prepared by cold water or hot water extraction. The cold water extract of Viscum album is prepared by mixing 1L of water and 200g of Viscum album, stirring at 4°C for two hours. The hot water extract is prepared by mixing 1L of water and 200g of the residue of the cold water extract and heating at 100°C for 30 minutes. A functional food composition or pharmaceutical composition for anti-obesity or fatty liver prevention contains the Viscum album extract as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in the form of a table, pill, granule, liquid phase or capsule by containing a carrier or excipient. |
