The method involves providing a disk having a disk substrate by laser radiation in an infrared (IR)-absorbing colored layer. The colored layer is patterned in form of grid elements (23) and formed between blank portions (24). A portion (25) of colored layer is applied with laser radiation so that colored layer treated by action of the laser beam in a process of sublimation and re-sublimation detached from the disk substrate is reflected in form of a paint mist on disk substrate and is visually distinct in a visible spectral range with a laser radiation image area (22).
