A conformable absorbent and bandaging device, which comprises an absorbent dressing component and an elongate lamellar bandaging component, which is configured to encircle a desired part of the body in use in at least one turn of the bandaging component, such that the absorbent component in the absorbent dressing component overlies a body area from which the dressing component is intended to absorb a bodily fluid, and has means for securing one turn of the bandaging component when it is in the desired position, to itself when there is only one turn, and to a previous turn when there is more than one turn; a method of manufacturing the device, and a method of using, and a method of prophylaxis and treatment using, the device. The device may be easily applied or reapplied and secured by the bandaging component in a desired position, in a single application to the desired body area. |
