<p>A monitoring apparatus and a method for updating a driver are provided to install an installation driver in the monitoring apparatus through a plug-in type, thereby installing a new driver without rebooting. A first storage unit(220) stores an installation driver received from the outside, and a second storage unit(230) stores at least one of files included in the installation driver. A controller(240) installs and stores the installation driver in the second storage unit. When the installation driver is completely downloaded in the first storage unit through an interface unit(210), the controller stores object files among the files, which are included in the installation driver, in the second storage unit through a plug-in type.</p> |
