This invention implements a voice output function while maintaining the operability and portability of a blood sugar measurement device. This invention provides a portable phone (300) including an application for implementing the voice output function. The portable phone includes a communication unit (310) that starts communication to receive a signal transmitted from the blood sugar measurement device by activating the application, a voice data storage unit (373) that stores voice data representing the operation contents of the blood sugar measurement device, a voice selection unit (375) that, upon receiving a signal including an identifier corresponding to the internal state of the blood sugar measurement device, selects the voice data according to the internal state out of the voice data stored in the voice data storage unit, and a reproduction processing unit (374) that outputs the voice data selected by the voice selection unit (375) . |
