The present invention relates to an arrayed waveguide grating. An input slab waveguide or an output slab waveguide are cut in order to offset the temperature dependent properties whereby the focusing is changed according to the temperatures. The structure having a predetermined thermal expansion coefficient is installed. Accordingly, the temperature dependent properties for an optical grating device used in an optical network can be offset.
