<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector type headlight for a vehicle structured so as to form a low-beam light distribution pattern, with a structure of shade standardized, and capable of forming a light distribution pattern for OHS (Overhead Sign) irradiation without generating large light distribution unevenness on the low-beam light distribution pattern. <P>SOLUTION: Lens elements 16sL, 16sR for deflecting and emitting reflected light upward from a reflector 14 reaching side edge parts are formed at the side edge parts in a right and left direction in a projection lens 16. Reflecting elements 14sR, 14sL for making light from a light source 12a incident into each side edge part of the projection lens 16 for passing through the vicinity of a back-side focus F of the projection lens 16 are formed on a reflecting surface 14a of the reflector 14. With this, the light from the light source 12a reflected at each reflecting element 14sR, 14sL and incident into each side edge part of the projection lens 16 is deflected and emitted upward from each lens element 16sL, 16sR to be efficiently utilized as OHS irradiation light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
