PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of maintaining battery characteristics while securing safety.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery 1 includes: an electrode group 7 configured such that a positive electrode plate 7A, on which a positive electrode mixture layer 7B containing a positive electrode active material is formed, and a negative electrode plate 7D, on which a negative electrode mixture layer 7E containing a negative electrode active material is formed, are disposed with a separator 7G interposed therebetween; and a nonaqueous electrolyte impregnated into the electrode group. The positive electrode mixture layer 7B contains a phosphazene-based flame retardant. When a mass ratio of the phosphazene-based flame retardant relative to the positive electrode active material is x mass%, and an average particle size of the positive electrode active material is y micron, conditions of x*y≥25 and y≤-0.83x+0.18x+50 are satisfied. |
