摘要 An information storage device comprises a storage element having a nanoparticle arrangement (50), which comprises a multiplicity of nanoparticles (3) and a supporting material (2) surrounding the nanoparticles. The storage element is designed to supply electrical charge carriers (e-, p) to the nanoparticles (3) selectively in regions in a first operating state, and substantially to prevent the supplied charge carriers from flowing away from the nanoparticles in a second operating state. The supplied charge carriers change a fluorescence property of the nanoparticles to which the electrical charge carriers were supplied selectively in regions in the first operating state, such that, by optically exciting the storage element, it is possible to ascertain where the electrical charge carriers were supplied to the nanoparticles selectively in regions during the first operating state. The following are furthermore disclosed: a device and a method for storing information in such an information storage device, and an optical information carrier.
