The mounting device (4) comprises a holding unit (14), which has clamping jaws (17) for detachable attachment of the holding unit to the handgun. A repelling roller (10) is provided for positive locking engagement on the handgun. The repelling roller comprises two mutually facing and mutually separate engagement elements (28) for engagement in two mutually separate recesses on the handgun. A slot (31) is formed between the engagement elements of the repelling roller for receiving a middle bar provided on the handgun. An independent claim is included for a housing for a handgun.
