Disclosed are a liquid crystal display (LCD) device (100) and a method of fabricating the same, the LCD device (100) having a dual link structure for reducing the width (W) of a line diverging section where data link wires (176) diverge to come in contact with the data lines (116). A set of data link wires (176a) are placed in a first layer and another set of data link wires (176b) are placed in a second layer so that the pitch between the data link wires (176) can be reduced.
