PURPOSE: An apparatus for applying adhesives for installing a second barrier of an LNG(liquefied natural gas) storage tank and a method thereof are provided to simplify the structure of an adhesive applying machine by the removal of a dispenser. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for applying adhesives for installing a second barrier of an LNG storage tank comprises a frame(10), a drive unit(20), a cartridge(30), a supply unit(40), a mixing unit(50), a nozzle(60), and a heating unit(70). The drive unit is mounted in the frame. The drive unit transfers the frame corresponding to the exposed portion of a main second barrier exposed between upper heat insulation boards adjacent to each other. The cartridge is installed in the frame. The cartridge contains main agent and hardener. The supply unit supplies the main agent and the hardener from the cartridge. The mixing unit mixes the main agent and the hardener provided from the cartridge. The nozzle mixes the main agent and the hardener and spreads adhesive(L) on the exposed portion. The heating unit is installed in at least one among the supply unit, the cartridge, and the mixing unit. The heating unit heats the adhesive. |
