The method involves providing a folding pocket (6) with a roller pair (1, 1.1), where the pocket is provided in a sheet transport direction (T). Folding roller pair (2) is provided in the transport direction. Rollers of the folding roller pair are provided at a permanent high circumference speed (v2) on an upper surface as a circumference speed (v1) on an upper surface of one of rollers. The roller of the foldable roll pair is provided with a dual function, and circumferential speed of roll is provided corresponding to maximum circumferential speed of another roller. An independent claim is also included for a pocket folding machine.
